'Mono printing gelli and gelatine plates'
|2018 Course listing coming soon.|
Monday 24th to Wednesday 26th July
A gelli plate is a thin slab of soft squidgy silicone-type material. A gelatine plate is a simple 'homemade' plate. No prior experience necessary so come and try this low-tech, non toxic form of printmaking that requires no press and uses waterbased paints and inks. You will make your own permanent gelatine plate then you will create amazing one-of-a-kind paper prints with stencils, stamps and other found objects. Compare these to the equal but different prints that you will make with a small gelli plate. Participants will be instructed in a variety of techniques throughout.
Outcome - a gelatine plate to take home plus a simple concertina book and a stack of prints for future use.
Materials costs: £8.
