'Miniature books'
Michael Harrison.

2018 Course listing coming soon.

Thursday 27th to Saturday 29th July
On this short course you will learn several simple basic folds that, with a minimum of cutting and gluing, make into different structures, all of which can become unusual miniature books. Each technique is capable of endless variation and you will have time to explore the possibilities. Using a variety of papers you will produce an amazing variety of finished small books which can, for example, be used for exciting Christmas or birthday cards, and even jewellery. We will experiment with various ways of embellishing the books, with a chance to try simple paste-paper, foolproof marbling, and decoration. There will be a short session each day on what we can put into the little books, which should be as unusual as the little books themselves.
There will be a materials cost of 5.
