Thursday 1st August to Saturday 3rd August
In this workshop we will use old discarded
hard backed books as our raw material to
rearrange and recycle them into functional
and decorative objects. The books will be
provided as part of the course. We will
appreciate books in a uniquely different way.
No experience is needed but you will be
guided into making books into interesting
containers, lamps, journals or portfolios.
We will discover how to preserve a book
cover for other uses, how to cut niches into
books and to make paper flowers from the
spare book pages. Come and have some

HEATHER HUNTER graduated
from Oxford Brookes University
after working and teaching in three
dimensional crafts. Since then her
focus has been on artists' books,
which involves all forms of printing,
binding and paper engineering. Her
books have won prizes in the USA
and the Birgit Skiold prize at the
London Artists Book Fair 2007 for an
altered book. Her unique books are
now in the private collections and
libraries throughout the world.
