|Freestyle landscape New
During this course you will be able to paint a traditional Chinese landscape in 'Freestyle' but also have the opportunity to paint a 'Western' landscape in the Chinese style.
|Oils from scratch New
This landscape painting workshop is suitable for beginners so if you have never had the joy of painting in oils, give it a try in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
|Paint like Turner New
JMW Turner is one of Britain's favourite artists and his work still has a contemporary freshness. We will be examining his later artworks and do a painting in a similar style.
|Essential Watercolour New
Suitable for beginners and painters with some experience, this course represents an in depth look at all the major watercolour techniques.
|Drawing from Dance New
Using the moving figure as inspiration, you will spend two mornings working directly from a dancer, as they warm up and perform various dances.
|Weaving with Willow New
Even if you have zero knowledge of weaving with willow, you will be gently guided through making a simple frame basket. On day two you can either repeat the process with some variation or make fun things for the garden.
|Discarded Library to delightful treasures New
In this workshop we will use old discarded hard backed books as our raw material to rearrange and recycle them into functional and decorative objects.
|Blues, browns & bleached backgrounds New
Evolving from the landscape of the beach and the shells and pebbles found there we will begin the week indigo dyeing natural fabrics and thread.
|Rags to riches New
Rag rugging is a lovely way of recycling used and discarded fabrics and turning them into something beautiful. We will start by making samples using the two most frequently used techniques.
|Trees, an exploration through Batik New
We will use the technique of batik (hot wax resist) to create pieces of work inspired by trees - the structure, leaves, shape, seasons and topiary - maybe even family trees!
|3D fabric Indian Elephant New
It all starts with you making your own large textile elephant sculpture. Then, after an introduction to dry needle felting, you'll go on to decorate the elephant and its wool blanket.
|Bags of Adventure New
Basic patterns and rag bags will be provided so all you need to bring is a sewing machine, curiosity and enthusiasm.
|Dye it, felt it, wear it New
Come and have fun at a friendly workshop and learn an easy way to dye wool and silk fibres using non toxic dyes.
|Singalong Showstopper New
We'll be singing arrangements from the musical, from songs such as Wouldn't It Be Loverly? and I Could Have Danced All Night. Jenni will work sensitively with your voices to give you the confidence to sing.
