Monday 29th July to Tuesday 30th July
This landscape painting workshop is suitable for beginners so if you have never had the joy of painting in oils,
give it a try in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Oil is much easier to use than watercolour because it is a 'forgiving
medium' and you can paint over and correct mistakes. We consider issues such as how to deal with all those greens
and how to create a sense of depth. All your materials will be supplied at cost so you just have to arrive wearing
old clothes! By the end of the workshop you will know exactly where to start with choosing materials and how to set
up your studio. You'll have one or two finished canvasses to take home.
LIN KERR has a fine art & a teaching degree and has been in adult education for many years. She is currently studying
the techniques of the Masters as a postgraduate diploma. She teaches oils at Ardington School of Craft, is on the Oxford
Art Society Committee and participates in Oxfordshire Artweeks every year. Lin is an experienced and patient art teacher,
and students always say that they fulfilled their expectations.
