Monday 29th July to Friday 2nd August
Seascapes form colour, line and texture
providing endless inspiration for development
into textile and mixed media work. You can
develop skills in composition, working with
abstraction and simplification, to create an
impressionistic sense of place. Work with a
sketchbook to create personal pieces. Expand
your ideas by experimenting with layered
papers, fabrics, threads and colour making
tactile surfaces to work on, with various flexible
free machine stitch techniques. Stretch your
creative imagination on a course designed
for those with machine embroidery skills
who wish to develop confidence in handling
colour, texture and line. Above all bring an
open mind and a willingness to experiment.
There will be a materials charge of approx £15.
