Do you want to learn to 'speak proper' like Eliza Doolittle, or do you see yourself as the distinguished phoneticist, Henry Higgins, ready to come to the aid of the young flower girl and give Eliza some speech training? Either way, you'll love our showstopper this year - My Fair Lady - based on George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion. We'll be singing arrangements from the musical, from songs such as Wouldn't It Be Loverly? and I Could Have Danced All Night to some of the less well-known numbers. Jenni will work sensitively with your voices to give you the confidence to sing.
There will be a performance of our achievements on the Tuesday afternoon at around 4pm.
JENNI MATTHEWS works as
a vocalist, musical director and
workshop leader. Her mission is
simple: to make singing accessible
to everyone, regardless of skill or
experience. She has taught Music
at Kingswood School in Bath,
Abingdon School, and currently
works at Rye St Antony School in
Oxford. She loves encouraging
people to sing, and enjoys nothing
more than seeing the buzz it gives
as people exceed their own
expectations. She hates to hear
people say 'my music teacher told
me I couldn't sing' - because you
