Monday 27th July to Tuesday 28th July

For anyone wanting to start painting, oils is a very good place to begin. For many people oil painting is very scary but is actually a very forgiving medium. It is definitely easier than watercolours because in oils, you can paint over your mistakes! All your materials will be supplied at cost so you can just have to arrive wearing old clothes! By the end of the course you will know exactly where to start with choosing materials and how to set up your studio. On the first day, we'll paint a very easy still life and then a landscape on the second day. We'll look at impasto and the palette knife en-route. Join Lin on this fun oil painting adventure and get hooked! The course is suitable for beginners and improvers.
Materials cost £15 and includes canvasses, oils, brushes, palette knives, solvent etc. If you have your own transportable easel you are welcome to bring it.
