Saturday 27th March to Sunday 28th March
For this workshop you will take inspiration
from nature and your favourite garden birds
to create a freestanding bird box. Within the
two days, you will combine image transfer
using laser photocopies, fabric collage
and free machine embroidery. Particular
attention is given to the front and lid of
your box. You may also wish to use vintage
embroideries for some panels. When you're
happy with your pieces, a stiffening fabric
and lining are added and we can start to
stitch them together. As the lids are hinged,
they are not only decorative but make
perfect sewing boxes.
There will be a materials cost of £8 per student.
