Saturday 12th June to Sunday 13th June
Maggie will cover a variety of subjects over
the weekend. On Saturday you will have
the opportunity to paint a composition of
freestyle flowers and birds such as roses
with sparrows and on Sunday the subject
will be a landscape with buildings featuring
the canal villages of China. Maggie will also
talk about the symbolism which surrounds
this fascinating subject. This course is
suitable for all levels of ability as Maggie will
give individual guidance.
Chinese materials are available to purchase from
Maggie. A complete starter kit is around £20.
Paper for the course will be charged between
60p to £1 per sheet.

MAGGIE CROSS is a trained
teacher of children and adults
and has been teaching Chinese
painting for many years. She spent
her childhood in Hong Kong where
she learnt Cantonese as well as
the art of calligraphy and painting.
She has written three books and
produced a DVD. She has also run
painting classes at the V and A
during their Chinese exhibition. She
is a member of the Chinese Brush
Painters Society and her work is in
collections in the UK and abroad.
