Saturday 20th November to Sunday 121st November
Learn a little about the history of one of the
oldest dyes known to man and how to set up
an indigo vat for use during the day. Using
traditional tie dye, folding, clamping and resist
techniques you will create a range of beautiful
blue fabrics and threads. You can then use
potassium to overdye, bleach and redye
fabric to create overlaid colours of blues and
browns and white. All the techniques learned
on this course can be applied to other dyeing
methods. The course is suitable for anyone
interested in dyeing, no previous experience
is required.
There will be a materials cost of £6.
