The different seasons in nature give us wonderful colours in the flowers and leaves that grow all around us. This course will capture the beautiful patterns of leaves and colours of the flower petals to print onto fabric. Sue covert the use of mordants to encourage the transfer of the shapes and hues onto fabric and leather samples. You will experiment with different plants to see which give the best effects.

Everyone will be given a silk scarf blank to create their own unique work of nature to take home. Sue had first been introduced to this craft by India Flint, the Australian botanical alchemist and since then has been experimenting to create her own method for reaching the perfect print.
