Using your sketchbook and holiday ephemera; photographs, souvenirs, maps, tickets, found objects etc. you will cut and arrange these items to compose a picture. From this ‘loose arrangement’ you will plan and paint a holiday memory in watercolour.

What you will learn

Composition, view-finding, and a variety of watercolour techniques.

Materials to Bring

• A wooden board upon which you will stretch your watercolour paper. Maximum size of board circa A2
• Traditional watercolour painting equipment: paints, brushes, palette, jars, etc. plus scissors and some simple drawing implements

Additional Material Costs

I will have some watercolour papers plus gummed tape available at a small cost should they be required.
