The different seasons in nature give us wonderful colours in the flowers and leaves that grow all around us. This course will capture the beautiful patterns of leaves and colours of the flower petals to print onto fabric. Sue uses selected mordants to encourage the transfer of the colour and shapes of the leaves and flowers onto the fabric and leather samples. By experimenting with different foliage we see the best ones to use for design and effect.

Everyone will be given a silk scarf blank to create their own unique work of nature to take home. Sue had first been introduced to this craft by India Flint, the Australian botanical alchemist and since then has been experimenting to create her own method for reaching the perfect print.
