We will work on drawing and using colour to build the head and create a portrait.

Through looking and working from a series of images, students will learn to use colour and tone. Using soft pastel, we will look at colour mixing, tone and colour, flesh tones and layering colour.

If students would like to bring another medium such as watercolour, that is also fine and I can look at other mediums individually with students.

Students can bring an image themselves if they would like to work on a particular person (the larger the image, the better)

It is possible to combine this course with Portraits - Line and Form on Monday 31st July.
